Use Ethernet to connect your devices to the network interface 2 of the Edge iNode.
For the devices in the private network behind the Edge iNode, assign static IP addresses that fall in the network CIDR assigned when you provisioned the Edge iNode. Make sure that the IP addresses you assign don’t fall in the reserved IP range.
Verifying Device Connectivity
To test the connectivity, you can try these tests:
- From a device behind the Edge iNode, ping the private IP address of your application instance in your cloud subnet that is connected to the Virtual iNode.
- Optionally, from an application instance in your cloud subnet that is connected to the Virtual iNode, you can ping the IP address of a device behind the Edge iNode. See Reaching Devices Behind an Edge iNode from Application Instances in Your Cloud.
- You can also run tcpdump on a device connected to the Edge iNode to verify data flow.
